His older sister (the first born) is leaving the nest in August for college (from Hawaii to Washington state). mama is already a wreck, not sure if its going to get any better for us in the house. Got up last night around 11, wife is out in living room with photo albums and tissues, mumbled something about not letting son leave ever lol. gonna be every man for himself in a few months

Yeah, it's kind of rough. Especially when you get the crying phone calls. I had a rough freshman year 
i was never on any social media until my daughter left for school. Now I'm on Facebook, twitter and Instagram so I don't have to worry if she is alive on the rare occasion that I don't hear from her for 12 hours.
when my son goes to college I'm not sure how I will get through it. He's not a phone or social media type of guy.
