Having just read the posts regarding the Collegiate Baseball HS All-American team and agreeing with many of the posts -its clear CB doesn't actually see many of the players. I decided to do my own HS All-American team. I'd like to see the teams members of the HSBBW would put together.

One Rule: You need to actually have seen the kids you name play!! Also basing my picks not on stats or reputation or projectability - just the kids I've seen play that I'd like to have on a ball club to go take on the world.

Outfielders
Greg Golson
Chuck Lofgren
Kory Williams

Infielders
3B - Willie Bowman
SS - Matt Bush
2B - Andy Romine
1B - Lucas Duda

Catcher
Brian Juhl

Pitchers
RHP - Josh Copeland
RHP - Mark Rogers
RHP - Erik Davis
LHP - Scott Elbert
LHP - Chuck Lofgren

Utility
Trevor Plouffe inf- RHP

Didn't see Adenhart or Rainville - and only saw Bailey throw 4 pitches so couldn't include them as per my rule.

Also, my young son is more of a projectable kid. I named guys I thought were absolute studs right now.

Also should note that a couple of kids in addition to Lofgren, Bush and Copeland, in particular, could both pitch and play the field on my fantasy team.
How about this ALL AMERICAN team. Maybe Bob will allow us to call it the high school web ALL AMERICAN TEAM.

These are all players identified on the 15 pages of the “Identify Your Son” thread. I’m sure I’ve missed some and I couldn’t get into page 13 at all, so I’m missing all of those listed on that page. These are all “04” grads and there are some big name prospects listed. If I missed anyone feel free to add it to this All American Team.

Some of the names below are on other All American type lists. This is a great list to be on, just check back and see in a few years. Congatulations to all who made it.

I was going to do a list of those in college and pro ball and an underclassmen team, based on the same HSBBWEB thread, but this was tough enough for now.

Bighit,

Maybe we can get everyone to contribute more HSBBweb players and come out with a final High School Web All American Team. I also know of a few top prospects who are not listed and should be.

Just based on what I've seen on this list so far, I wouldn't be afraid to play the other all american teams in a head to head series. I think our pitching would hold up, don't you? Man, we got a lot of pitchers!!!!!
Thanks PGStaff for the list. I see that you added my son to the list. Big Grin And he is grateful as well. He has worked hard during the off-season and they are looking for good games from him this year.

And I agree PG, hopefully Bob will let this list be known as the HSBaseBallWeb All American Team. It has a nice ring to it.

Maybe somebody that needs to be added is Jason Johnson from Knott County Central in Hindman, KY. He is a Junior LH SS, yes a lefty. And he plays the position very well.

Also, Senior Lamar Williams from Hazard High School in Hazard, KY. A RHP and one of the best pitchers in the 14th region.
Can anyone get into page 13 of the "identify your son" thread. I'm sure there's afew more on that page.

I think this is great fun. Some of the higher profile guys listed sure don't need it, but who knows it might be a big deal to some of the others.

I would suggest that once we're done with the list that Bob archives this. Could be very interesting in years to come. There are some very good prospects on this list with more to come. I would bet there's some names on this list who will play in the Big Leagues.

If anyone has the time to put together the Underclass HSBBWEB All American Team and the College team and the Pro Team, that would be interesting too.

Kind of odd, talking about politics. All you got to do is be a HSBB webster and presto your son makes the All American list. Then looking at the All American list... it's very good with some of the most talented players in the country. Maybe it's just as good as some other All American lists, time will tell.
PGStaff,

There were two 04's listed on page 13.

David Brynan SS Beverly Hills, CA
Danny Morris RHP/SS Princeton, TX

Edit...sorry , these were on page 16. Hold on, I'll be right back with page 13.

Okay....Page 13:

Frank Bainer Catcher CT
Matt Johnson LHP CA
Randell Linebaugh (no postion given) TX
