My son visited an NAIA college January 2012 during his Junior year. We had a campus visit with admissions and was down in the Orlando area for a Top 96 showcase. The University we visited on Friday also had a school baseball camp that weekend, and could not drive over to Orlando to see my son.  I asked if it was ok for us to return on Sunday and show the school what my son could do on the diamond, and they were totally ok with that and didn't hesitate at all.

Not sure if this helps, or if it was legal, but that was our recent experience

Article II Section C of the NAIA Handbook gives the rules regarding tryout.  Tryouts need to take place on-campus or at the team's site for regular practices or games.   Doesn't count as practice for prospective players, but regular team members can take part in the tryouts. Can't be longer than two days.for a specific player.  In other words, wide open.
