My son signed one for an NAIA school in December last year for this coming fall. The NAIA itself doesn't administer the letters of intent like the NCAA does. So, the wording and content are created by the individual schools. My understanding is that the other NAIA schools honor this by not trying to recruit you, similar to the way the NCAA one works (except it is binding for them).

The way it worked for us was that we made initial contact with the coaches by filling out their recruiting form and sending them a link to my son's web page. The coaches were interested and encouraged us to visit the school. We did that and my son had a workout. After the workout, the coach said that he liked what he saw and that they intended to offer a baseball scholarship and they gave us a general idea of how much. We replied that we were interested. They sent the letter of intent in the mail a couple of weeks later outlining the exact amounts and what we were committing to doing and what they were committed to doing. My son decided to sign and the school made the official announcement on their website.

I hope that helps.
