Nate Jones Gets Friday Night ACC Start

For those following NH HS baseball, Nate Jones (Portsmouth)freshman at Wake Forest is the starting pitcher tonight against North Carolina State.

Great accomplishment for someone who was preparing for NH Div II baseball at this time last year.

Regardless of the outcome, we are proud of you Nate

Think its on NC State internet TV for those interested.

Wake Forest Takes Series Opener, 11-5, over NC State
Nate Jones started his first-career game and turned in a solid three innings of work, allowing two runs and three hits.

12 appearances and 20.1 innings in 25 games and an era of 3.54
13 K's against only 6 BB's and opp. avg. of .239

All excellent stuff against some pretty stiff competition - It sure makes the Class I players who got a hit off of Nate last year (not too many of those) feel pretty good. Best of luck the rest of the season and beyond!
