Never heard of them. What are they offering? Services?

I have heard of them and spoken to them. We had a speaker at our high school, Rick Wire. He wrote a book called The Student Athlete and College Recruiting. It is a pretty good book, an easy read. In it he talks about the only recuiting service that he thinks is any goo, NCSA. So I called, it seems that he is a paid promoter for the service. They were very high pressure and said that without a recruiting service my son would not get seen. Well, he is an 06 pitcher on a terrible high school team. He has received numerous letters, one letter stating that they are very interested and a phone call in March. I know that is not a lot of interest, but it is some. We are doing this "stuff" on our own. If I remember right it was about $1500 for them to send out letters for you and make a tape. We have done both for not nearly that cost.

Thanks, I kind of figured that they would want some BIG MONEY. I figure his summer and fall ball will get him noticed more than a service lihe that.

There are services that are much much cheaper than that. Plus sending tapes unsolicited is just asking the coach to toss them in the garbage.

Look for on-line services to help you out, or go to showcases...this will suit you much better than shelling out $1500.
