BlakeE..the process is pretty straighforward. There is a huge booklet called handbook for prospective studentathlete (something like that) which has all the info about academics, test scores and a D1 worksheet for all your courses. Once you register, you get a pin # which, along with your social security number or ID# (you're from Canada, so whatever you use there for official stuff) gets you access to your eligibility status. Then you should make sure that all your test scores and transcripts get forwarded to the clearinghouse. You're an 08 graduate, so nothing will really happen until next summer..but it's an interesting process and you can already sort of tell by using the worksheet, how close you are to qualifying. It is a good incentive to get better grades in your senior year, if needed..once you see how A's add up for quality points. Plus, if you are on the edge with any of your test scores, think about retaking tests if needed. Some colleges will ask for you pin code for the clearinghouse website so they can check on your status, too. Good luck.
