Ive received some conflicting info. Do all DI and DII athletes have to go through the clearinghouse or just the ones receiving some form of a scholarship?

My son was a recruited walk-on and he still had to meet all of the NCAA clearinghouse's requirements.
All high school student-athletes wishing to compete in college must register with the Eligibility Center.
This is straight from the NCAA website. So, I would say Yes, all athletes regardless of scholarship money for DI and DII.

Must register to be eligible as an athlete. Scholarship is completely separate. Of course,if you do not meet the minimum requirements, then no scholarship
When should you apply to the clearing house? 2013 kid.
Our son registered summer between spoh and jr year. The online system walks you through the questions and then sends you reminders to add additioanl information (SAT Scores, Official transcripts) as it becomes available. Should be registered before discussions begin for recruitment is a good rule of thumb
If you are in high school now and you plan to play two years at a Junior College, do you still have to register for the clearinghouse? I'm asking if you get lucky after the two years at the JC do you need to be registered to play D1?
BBfun, yes you still have to be cleared if moving up from JC. Son had to show clearance when D1 recruited him from JC.
