Question about this scenario:
04 RHP has chosen a small DIII college that is a great fit for him academically, socially, location-wise, and for baseball. They have a very good 4-year degree program in his intended major.
However, it is possible that if he changes his major during college, he would need to transfer after 2 years to a larger school (DII or DI) to complete some other degree.
He doesn't plan to need to transfer, but this is a very small DIII that offers limited majors, and we realize that college students change their majors, just as adults sometimes change jobs or careers.
IF HE WOULD TRANSFER after 2 years to a DII or DI, and if he was good enough to make the baseball team at the new school, would he need to have completed the NCAA Clearinghouse process as a high school senior, or would his eligibility at the new school depend on his academic progress in the first 2 years at DIII?
