Anyone have a clue as to when the D-III Regional Pairings will be announced?

In the past D-III is slow to annoucing not only the team, but were the regionals will be held.
I would think sometime over the weekend, the field should be announced.
Can any one confirm that they are expanding to 64 teams this year?

Don't they have to wait until the conclusion of all conference tournaments?

The selections are to be made on Sunday, May 14. If it is anything like past years, you probably won't know anything until well past midnight into Monday morning. Then you scramble for travel as they begin on Thursday.

Here is a link for the NCAA DIII Regional rankings. They are updated weekly I believe. Most of the 53 teams in post season play will come from this list, but post-season tournaments can play some havoc.

Great stuff. One of my son's former teammates is at Bridgewater (VA) and is home for a brief 3-day break. He heads back tomorrow for practice as they anticipate an at-large bid.

The South regional could be a lot of fun. About 3 weeks ago, Emory was rated #1 in the nation. Millsaps, then unranked, went to Atlanta and swept them, and didn't remain unranked any longer. Millsaps can absolutely pound the baseball. Their number 4 hitter was a 10th round pick last season who can hit them as hard/long/far as anyone in college baseball, and he isn't too much better than the rest of the hitters.
The West will also be a beauty with probably 4-5 teams being ranked in the top 30, nationally.
