How about that? At the time I saw them last year, they were better than Texas, Fullerton, ASU, USC, Arizona and Baylor (saw them all last year). But baseball is a game of ups-and-downs and who's hot at the right time.

The Oregon State Beavers return their top 4 arms (2005= 400 IP 2.75 ERA 38-8 W-L). This is the foundation of what can be a great year.

ACC hasn't had a team in Omaha since 2002 (Miami wasn't a member until last season). But, they had four teams in Super Regionals last year and the 4 teams in the top 10 (Clemson, NC, FSU, Ga. Tech) all were young teams last year. Miami lost quite a bit and is at 11 on reputation. Will the ACC have a team in Omaha this year? They should. The ACC and SEC teams usually square off in Super Regionals and it looks like the ACC is better at the top (no conference is deeper top to bottom than the SEC).
I think the real story behind these polls is the adversity that Tulane went through.
Yeah they went from no.1 at times last year to 24. Then again they lost Brian Bogesevic (1st round), Micah Owings (4th round) and Tommy Manzella (6th round I think) . Oregon State lost Jacoby Ellsbury ,their leader, but they still have Dallas Buck.

Oh, most definitely. Also notice that 8 of the 25 are from west coast teams, and I have included Arizona State as one of those teams because they play in a western conference. Not bad. Hope Cal's ranking goes higher and higher ...

Congratulations to the West Coact teams!! Are the southern states losing ground to the west coast? I notice the southern states only have 16 of the top 25. Of course I didn't include SOUTHERN California.

Texas, Rice and TCU.....should be a fun year
