I'm not sure how long this tool has been available, but it's new to me.

That's really cool. I have saved some other links to try to piece together similar information, but it's nice to have it all available in one interface.

It been around for a couple of years
Went just to D1 baseball and it is amazing how few there are west of Mississippi River except for Texas and California. The kids that are in certain western states are really in a struggle to get a chance to play college d1 baseball.
And some need to look at why many of us have no clue when they talk D3 baseball. They are almost all in the Northeast. I don't even hardly read a thread that has D3 in title because I know nothing about them other than what I read on here.
18 DI programs in North Carolina, alone. There have been 17 for many years, but Queens University in Charlotte moves into Division I this season.
Here's a related question: Of all the states in the USA with at least four D1 baseball programs in their state, which of these has the least powerful (for lack of a better word) overall collection of D1 programs in the country?
Hint: It's NOT Florida, Texas or California. So, don't even look at those states.
That would be to everyone's interpretation like what is top D1. I say top D1 is top 20 at most. There are teams in D1baseball top 100 that have very losing records so they cannot be a top team. Least powerful is according to interpretation. I know I am biased but you could put most all of the Northeast states that in there but that is my opinion. If you took Ohio the only thing saving it would be Kent State and Wright State. Pennsylvania does not have a top team of the ones they have. New York could be put in their most years except when one of the SUNY schools is doing good.
So, give us your opinion.
I'm thinking New Jersey. There's maybe two D1s that would be considered mid to upper D1 programs and the rest are lower tier.
