The Dons should have worried about the Hawks of maine South today rather than the Barrington Boys. The Hawks tore up the two aces of Notre Dame. Bottom line--they are a decent hitting team with zero pitching.

Sorry to hear that? Why you wanted to see their #1. I got news for you e got hit hard, including two long home runs, by a team that has been up and down offensively this year. Fastball was straight and the breaking ball was easily picked up.
2 aces? Uh, no, Pagano is pitching tomm. There was a Pagano pitching today but that's his brother.
I'd hardly say they have zero pitching. kloss put up some great numbers last year. every pitcher has an off day.
Agreed, the wind is blowing out toward right. The only real hard hit ball was Bradley's shot off the garage. The 2nd homer was a pop fly. Considering Kloss' year last year, he's due 1 bad game.

All GOOD pitchers get hit hard every now and then ...its part of the game . It just wasnt his day . Whoever was at the game saw a few errors made in the field behind Kloss which led to some runs . Early april is not the time to shoot the mouth off .

Pagano did not pitch his best but ND still pulls it out 6-5. Do we have to play 1 run games to everyone?
Hold on now. FYI, the second homerun hit was to dead center field (about 390 feet in that park)so I would hardly call it a pop up.
Second, an off day would imply missing the zone or not having velocity. Simply put, he was hit hard by all of the Hawks. I understand that he had some good numbers last year and he seems like a good kid, but if you ND fans think last year's stats gets it done this year, then a rude awakeing awaits.

Neither one of these teams is going anywhere playing the way they did today.. Early season sloppiness or maybe these two teams won't be in the mix this year.

There is always that danger of a wild pitch when constantly throwing breaking stuff with winning run on third . Your catcher ( who is very good by the way ) can only do so much back there .

Umpire called game ( darkness ? ) at around 600 after barrington took the field and started the top of the seventh inning ...go figure . I was down at the varsity field before the game talking to the barrington coaches and for the last inning . Wearing blue jacket and jeans .

Truthfully, with all due respect to the kids and all of their opponents so far this year we have not seen much good baseball at this point. It's early and hopefully things will get better. The one team I have seen so far that looked good was OPRF.

as an ND fan, I can safely say ND never looks good early on defensively. We love our bats, and they will take priority over gloves-that simple. Having that said, 6-1-1 is pretty good for no defense and not a whole of hitting so far.
