Calvert Hall wins 1-0 in a terrific game. Both pitchers were on. Lingerman for CHC through a no-no and the NDA pitcher, a two-hitter.
Game was over in 90 minutes. NDA's only close hit was a slow roller with a weird bounce to the second baseman that he got to, but made an off throw. Both coaches as well as a Sun reporter agreed that it was an error. Both teams had some hard hits, either right at people and plays were made by both teams. Chenworth hit a double in the first and then in the fifth NDA issued a walk, sac bunt to second, fly out to center, walk issued(to Chenworth),passed ball moved players to second and third and then Lingerman singled to right to score the run.
It was a pleasure to watch two terrific teams on a great day. Both teams were class acts and an a reminder of how great high school baseball games can be! Congrats Calvert Hall!!
