The Patriots will be ahead by 10-14 points late in the third/early in the fourth when Eli Manning comes out of his performance trance and throws his second interception of the game. This will be followed by a third pick later in the fourth.

Rooting interest: I don't particular care for either team. I rooted against the Patriots once they got to 12-0 including the Giants game. I find Belichick obnoxious. But listening to Giants fans winning a Super Bowl is insufferable, especially if it involves beating an 18-0 team.

I don't buy into any of the Spygate stuff. Belichick is a genius coach. Brady is second coming of Montana.

Patriots 38, Giants 17

Note: I grew up in New England. The Patriots were a joke when I was a kid. I have always rooted for the Sox and the Celts but not the Pats. The Patriots may have been the biggest joke franchise in the history of pro sports from ownership, management and all the way down to the playing field. I rooted for the Rams due to connections my dad had to the team. I ended up in LA with Rams tickets for twenty-two years. I never jumped on the the hometown (Patriots) bandwagon like many do when their old hometown team wins. Now if God will only forgive me for encouraging my kids to embrace the teams of their upbringing (Philadelphia).
