The 2 "Great Northern Hopes" bit the dust in their respective Regional's.

ND should have played a REAL schedule this year. Whining about their plight as a 3 seed and then losing 2 in a row to the best teams they saw all year. Hey Paul, get rid of Valpo, IUPUI and Manchester. Go schedule a team with an RPI under 100.

A real setback for Nebraska's program . Losing their last 3 series and playing terrible in the Regional.

Soxnole,

Believe me, I don't have any axe to grind here. I read the comments by the ND coach and I think he's made some valid points. I don't think for a minute that the Northern schools get their due when it comes to this tournament and they never will. How many trips should a ND make midweek down south when these schools refuse to have a home and home. 45 wins is impressive in my little mind, and a 3rd seed in Lexington, where the winner of the SEC is playing just isn't kosher. Then again, why would anything involving ND be kosher?

Now,you've got these conferences getting 8-9 teams in the tournament year in and year out. What's that all about? This event is all about the warm weather schools and is run by a bunch of guys who wear NASCAR gear.

Finally, I liked the Huskers this year and thought that winning 3 of 4 against Texas put them in a good place to return to Omaha. So much for what I know. Good luck to your 'Noles.
Good morning rosy. I am and alway's will be a huge ND fan....however........

With all due respect, he made zero valid points. Most coaches, I'm sure, think he made an A$$ of himself.

ND, simply put, deserved their seed by NOT scheduling the better teams in close proximity to South Bend.

They have a Strenghth Of Schedule of 145!

All 7 ACC teams, by comparison, were in the top 15!...Wake did not make the tourney with a 25 SOS.

Case closed.
