My son, a JUCO transfer out of MD has got to make a decision on his next two years of school. He was one letter of intent to sign and it has to be signed w/in the next few days.
Josh, he is a great player, in the top 10 on the md juco records in batting and HR's, etc. His dilema, everyone is telling him to NOT SIGN the letter of intent yet. Including his coach. The other schools that were showing interest are not really calling him too much anymore and when they do call, they say they are interested, but have to get their pitcing in line first before making an offer to him. Everyone keeps saying that it is "early" yet to sign. Josh feels that he should sign because he doesn't want to miss this opportunity.

Can anyone advise rather quickly here?

Thanks so much.

I don't think that too many coaches have recruiting on their minds right now. They are trying to get through the remainder of their season for playoffs.
Many coaches will wait until the June draft to determine what their needs will be.
If it doesn't feel right, don't sign just to sign. If your son feels it is a great opportunity, go ahead.
