I did do a search within the last 24 months and found something's that are a bit dated, thanks. Still looking for more recent opinion though.

Lefty dad sorry.....

The Stonybrook story from last year is pretty well known from the CWS. Not sure how they will do this year. I believe someone's son at HSBBW plays for them.

My son was recruited by Villanova a couple of years ago so this may/may not be dated. The school’s academic reputation is obviously stellar. Has a WASP reputation, commonly known as Vanilla Nova. Located in a wealthy area in Philly.

I am not sure about the new conference, but a couple of years ago they only had 6 scholarships so baseball money was very thin. Expensive school but they have ways to get other money to players from need based or academic $$. We did not get enough to make up the lack of athletic money.

The coach has been there for a few years, but his assistants have been a bit of a revolving door. My son really liked David Miller (assist coach), but he is gone. The field is away from the main campus so there is a commute to/from games and practices. They are always in the cellar in their conference, mostly because of the lack of financial support for the program and their recruiting limitations for talent and facilities. Again with new conference money maybe this may change.

All athletics revolve around the basketball program.  I think TRHits son played for the coach when he was at New Mexico.

Hope this helps.

BOF ... You nailed Nova. They get to .500 each year by beating up on local mid majors in non conference games. We heard for years they were getting a new field. It hasn't happened. I've since moved away. I used to bike to games to watch. Nova plays in a city park. They share the field with the middle school, Legion and a semi-pro summer team. Academically it's a good school.
