it depends on how the coaches throw BP. throwing 60 mph meatballs does nothing to help your hitting in the game.
Good example During a NCAA Summer League team. the coaches threw very hard in BP and threw breaking stuff at hitters. Hitters complaigned and wHined and then score 19 runs in the game
THANKS FOR YOUR INPUT. EVEN DURING PRACTICE GAMES HE'S KNOCKIN THE COVER OFF THE BALL AGAINST HIGH SCHOOL PITCHERS, SEEMS TO BE A PROBLEM ONLY IN THE GAME. COULD IT BE CONFIDENCE OR NOT RELAXING ENOUGH TO LET MUSCLE MEMORY TAKE OVER?
HE IS A SENIOR THIS YEAR AND HAS GREAT FUNDAMENTALS ( TAUGHT BY MAJOR LEAGUE SCOUT ) HAS HAD GREAT WORK ETHIC DURING THE OFF SEASON BUT HAS STARTED THE SEASON OFF SLOW, SEEMS LIKE HE'S PRESSING TOO MUCH
You probably have it figured out dad. Pressing his self early in the season. It will probably come around just tell him to relax and enjoy this season. What are his college plans? That maybe putting some pressure on him.
