ok well i am one of those players that has started pitching in alot of big games...and i have never been nervous.....but the other day i was trying out for a traveling team....and i got nervous... my legs started shaking when i went to hit.....i still did very well and made the team....but i was wondering some things people use to help them when hitting if there nervous....because i know when i attend showcases and things the same thing might happen....and ideas?

pedro...It is good to be nervous from time to time. Especially when you are doing something new and it is important to you.

Keep positive thoughts in your head; take a few deep breaths; and, drink some water (especially if your mouth is getting dry).

Good things will happen if you've put the PRIOR effort into your practicing to get ready for the big day!

Nervous, It doesn't get any easier as you join the real world of job hunting, choosing a school, getting Married. LOL

That's what's good about Baseball or any Team sport.
It help's you prepare for real life.

You will not be in much more pressure, than a Pitcher on the Mound. That's for sure. the EH
the thing is...i have pitched in state championships and national tournaments...and conference champiships etc.....and....i just love pitching....i can control everything....its my happy place(happy gilmore) lol....its the only place i feel comfortable...and i love having everything put on my shoulders....thats y...i dont get nervous in games when i am hitting because i love having the pressure of beating the pitcher mentally and physically....09dad....is there a specific website to find that book?
