We are a couple of weeks into the summer circuit in my part of the country. I've gone to games at a variety of events. I've seen coaches evaluating players. Big thumbs up!
I've also had some eye opening conversations with parents.
I was sitting a picnic table with a dad that drove 7 hours 1 way for his kid to play ball. I commented how beautiful that particular field is and commented that perhaps the only negative was that the field was off campus.
We were at my alma mater, The College of William & Mary.
I could sort of see his eyes change.
I said, please tell me your drove the 2 minutes over to campus. Please tell me you saw the Sunken Gardens, The Wren Building, the brand new state of the art Business building. No. No. No. No.
My heart was literally breaking. The College is 322 years old. In addition to being one of the best academic institutions in the world it also happens to be one of the most beautiful campuses in the world.
So how does a family drive 14-15 hours round trip and not see campus???
It happens every weekend.
Rush to get to game. Then to lunch/dinner. Then to game 2. Then to dinner or hotel. Wake up on day 2 and repeat followed by rushing to beat summer traffic home.
Consider having your kid join us on one of our 3 College Bus Tours this summer so we can give them behind the scenes access to nearly 20 colleges. Unlike other "bus tours" I've seen out there this is not just a "baseball field tour". The coaching staff at each college gives behind the scenes access of the ACADEMIC FACILITIES and the ATHLETIC FACILITIES!
Contact us soon to reserve your spot.
