Any one familiar with the team? I would be the 8th infielder.. Do they over recruit??

The NECBL is a good collegiate league. Players fet drafted from thejr exposure in this leafue. But why would you want to be the 8th infielder? That's nothing but roster filler. You might get to play early in the season if five infielder's teams go deep into the NCAA tournament. Otherwise you will pinch hit once a week. Go where you can play. Summer ball is for improving your game. You can't improve on the bench.
My son played in that league. Played for Newport Gulls. first class team. Best summer of his life for baseball. My son went as a backup and played just about every game. He hit he played. Just depends as many players who go to necbl after freshmen year, many of the good ones go to the cape the next year. There are a lot of very good players in that league. Many drafted in top rounds. You will have to compete and produce or you.might not get a ton of play time. Is your college. Coach sending you? As often u dnt have option.
