I agree I come here everytime Im on the site which is just about every day. Rarely if ever does anyone post anything here. We have outstanding HS and College baseball right here and no one wants to discuss it. Lets see if we can get some guys to come in here and use it kind of like a chat room for NC HS Baseball. We can discuss programs East and West and players as well. Also College since we have so many outstanding programs in our state at all levels.
I feel your pain living in a part of VA that does not get much play in the VIRGINIA board. Last year some of us "debated" changing the name to the Virginia Beach board.
I am suprised, too, at the lack of talk on the NC board. AAU ball is huge in NC--and the guys my son played against are all seniors this year--and I would think their parents would be "on board."
I don't know why more don't post here. Look at how our NC guys did at Perfect Game WWB!!

I know alot post on thisboardrocks.com, but should add here as well.

Just don't post anything bad... I may be a moderator, but have no idea how to change anything! (haven't had to!)

Iscream, I will look into it or ask! (Help)

HHH I enjoy your posts and hope to get to see lilHHH pitch one day.

Coach May, I appreciate your posts and look forward to following your son as well.

JT, I know you have an NC connection, and know Josh Thrailkill as well as other WNC players.

I am more WNC, and we have had dribs and drabs of high profile players in my time here... Narveson, Maybin, but we have a slew of upcoming guys in the 06 07 years.

This could get fun!
Since I'm sort of a newbie to the board as far as posting I'd like to make a couple of comments here. First I'll introduce myself. I currently coach the Carolina Clash baseball team. We are a 17 under group that just finished playing the fall in Bill Capps new league. (Carolinas Piedmont Fall Showcase League) I have players from Independence (2), North Meck (1) Weddington (2)and Peidmont (6). We played against Capps team (Sox), John Thurstons team (Black Sox), the Cardinals (Denvers legion team), and the 16 and 18 year old Megastars. It was the first year of the new league and I thought it went pretty good. They formed a website at http://www.cpfsl.org where if you click on the teams logo, then on roster it brings up a page where you can click on each players name. Doing so will give you their personal page with stats, gpa, etc. I saw a wide range of talent as all the young men in the league were form NC. I t was also a good learning experience for me as I was able to meet a lot of college coaches and learned what they look for in a player. Seeing as how my son plays on our team it was a little difficult not bringing him up to any of the coaches as I just did'nt feel right about it. I just hoped he stood out on his own, and I tried to sell every coach on every player I had. It also was difficult in the respect that my team are juniors. I had one senior, and that was because he was skipped ahaid a grade. Still, he was the only one they could really go after. All the coaches did tell me that they were even more interested in seeing the younger guys though, because it gave them a heads up on who to keep tabs on in the spring. I don't know if I'll coach these guys again in the summer. I feel I need to get away from my own son for his benefit. I was proud of the season he had though. He led the team offensively, going 23-49, 6 dbls, 2 trpls, and 1 HR. He played all but a few innings at 2B, and never made an error. I've been coaching traveling ball since Mo (the Kelley glove rep) and I started the Royals when the guys were 10, so we've played AAU/USSSA against all the rising jrs. and seniors now playing. I know in my mind NC guys can play with anyone in the country, and I've caoched against teams from Canada to California.

My .02
