WP scores 9 runs in the 1st and receives stellar pitching effort from Jayme Murray (8Ks). Sean Trenchard leads the Wolverines on offense, going 3-4, with two doubles and 3 RBIs.

Thanks for the update. Nice to see Sean hitting it well! Who pitched for Fairfax?
Osbourn Park 2
West Springfield 4

WS wins the Let's Play Two tournament in dramatic fashion as senior J.T. Williamson hits a walk off 2-run homer to defeat previously unbeaten OP. Tyler Tobin (jr) gets the win by virtue of hurling a 1-2-3 top of 7th. WS starter Connor Tagg (jr) went 6 strong in his first start of the season, striking out 3, walking none, and scattering 4 hits.

Scott Halsey pitched very well in defeat: CG, 5K, 0BB, 7H, 4ER
Danny Metz had 3 of the 4 Yellow Jacket hits.

For the Spartans, Mike Simko, Trevor Snook, Garrett Wooddell, and J.T. Williamson were named to the all-tournament team. Williamson was named tournament MVP. Notable omission in this observer's opinion was Spartan OF Frank Sturek (soph) who went 6 for 9 with 2 HRs and 4 RBI.

Nice to see Conner getting it done...as usual.
