Sunday must have been William Ligue Jr. night at "The Cell"

First fan to attack an opposing coach or wife of a player gets a free night in jail and three squares a day. Big Grin

Is it me or is it more than ironic that the ballparks nickname is "The Cell"?

Take it easy Sox fans, it's a little thing called a joke, in fact, there are people like that in here in Houston believe it or not..... but they usually stay locked up in the county jail. Wink

Go Astros!

Surely you south siders can take a joke!

After all that CR*P that's been spewing the last few days, I thought I'd lighten it up.

CAN'T WE ALL JUST GET ALONG?!?!?

OK, OK, here's a dig on my town.... Once Bud Selig gets a whiff of all those oil refineries south of town, he'll order the roof closed. And don't get me started on our D3 football team The Texans! Wink

There does that make you feel better?

If your guys win, all the best, if my guys win, all the best. Someone has to win and someone has to lose.
Glove, so we've got The Cell vs The Juice Box? Hoo-boy.... biglaugh

Between the LL left field porch and the Grassy Knoll, all that The Box needs is a fountain behind second base and a windmill in Right to complete the Family Amusement Park. Wink

(Think that'll keep the Sox fans at bay? One doesn't normally associate "Blue Collar" and "Sensitive". Wink)
Astros fan yes, Red Sox fan yes, Cubs fan, not really anymore.... somewhere down the line I grew out of it, mostly because of Sammy and his, "I'll take a test anytime, no wait this interview is over." That and the fact that they are in the same division as the Astros. But that's just me.

And in fact I wasn't just a Cubs person in my younger years, I liked The White Sox as well, I was a big Frank Thomas fan (actually used him very often in HR Derby on my Playstation), until he went "Spoiled Athlete" on us and stated that 10M/yr wasn't enough for him.

Man, I'd have really been in a pickle if the Red Sox and Astros were in it!

Actually had a caller today from Chicago call in to a Houston sports radio show who was a Cubs fan. He said, that the Astros are the lesser of the two evils, therefore he was rooting for the Astros. I guess I just don't get it, since we only have one team in this city.

Why is there so much animosity between Cubs fans and Sox fans? Please help me, I need an explination.
Gloveman, Cheeky, LOL! biglaugh
That knuckle-head thought he was on a “pub-crawl”. Father and son spent the afternoon suckin’ down cold ones at the friendly confines and then decided to take in a night cap at Comiskey.
Disco Demolition Night brings back fond memories. Bill Veeck knew how to throw a party!! party

I don’t get the animosity either?? However, if you think Sox fans are mean, what ever happened to Steve Bartman???? noidea Hell of a way to treat a “domer”.

“He enjoyed people enjoying themselves. He was color-blind and race-blind, and religious-blind.” ~ Hank Greenberg on Bill Veeck
