Just wondering if any 06er's took both the new and old SAT? Did you see a big difference in your score from one test to the other? AOL news had that 107 kids received a perfect score of 2400.

I can tell you my son took the old PSAT (as a soph) and the new one as a JR and did worse as a junior. I know there were other kids who also did worse, a year older and a second time around.

Spoke to my '06's guidance counselor the other day -- he did say that schools will not use the grade from the writing portion of the new SAT FOR '06's ONLY!! he said they would use it as a guideline [first year thing] and would possibly use it for the required writing sample. He also said [as most will probably know] - there are no analogies, and more critical reading questions.
