My son (06) took it too. Said the Math was more of a challenge, but was suprised at how "easy" the Essay was. As far as "minimum" scores, I don't think the NCAA has set a standard (2400 is "perfect"), yet, on the new SAT, as many schools are simply ignoring the Essay scores and still using Math and Verbal only.

Do not forget that you now need 14 core classes is you are a 05 thru 07 grad

For the 2008 grads you will need 16 core classes

Also note that Computer Science is no longer acceptable as a core class

One last note--- most colleges require at least two years of a foreign language--NCAA does not necessarily require a foreign language although the option is there for one year as a core class.

Do not forget being NCAA eligible does not assure you of admission to college
