Hi, I'm new to HS baseball web and I live in Maryland. I'm 16 (but turns to sophomore next year since I felt that it would be better to start in freshman kind of late to adjust in school since I'm from Korea).

Well I learned the mechanics and I think I touched up to 79mph before I learned the mechanics and it should be about 2~4mph more than that right now. I'm just trying to get the mechanics first and get to control.

I never pitched in a real game before and coach in our summer team (where I play as OF regularly) might get me to pitch. I might get nervous on the mound though... question is that how do I assuage myself on the mound? And how do you control? Thanks

EDIT: Whoa, how come the word N/y/m/a/n is censored?

Vertigo,
Play the game in your head at night. See yourself in different situations and visualize yourself throwing the perfect pitch to get the out. Go to sleep having won the game already in your head. When you get into the game play a song in your head with a steady relaxed rhythm and then focus on your job and nothing else. Relax and get the batter out one pitch at a time.
