Ha! Opinions? You're looking for opinions? Sorry. None here. Opinionless as a bowl of cold oatmeal.

Seriously...welcome aboard the HSBBW BTB. You already know you don't have to go far for an opinion...and another...and another.

By the way...speaking of opinions. What is the best recipe for those famous beans? Anymore, economical beans are an integral part of our menu. Not everybody is happy about that. Believe me...I hear from them!

Low 40's today with a nice winter storm on the way!
2 boys and a girl. My oldest is a 2012 graduate and is a pitcher. Middle son is in 8th grade playing JV baseball as a catcher. Just starting to go through recruiting process wth oldest son and heard this was a great place to get information. Been to a few showcases and college camps last summer and now getting ready for Junior season!
Ha, not sure who I root for so I thought I would offer some unbiased information:

Number of Yankee World Series Victories this Millenium: 1

Red Sox: 2

Worst professional sports choke? Yankees 2004

Greatest monetary advantage due to geographic location throughout the history of the game: New York

Changing economic structure has obviously tilted the scales in favor of better draft and minor league activity, thus leading to the 2 - 1 World Series Titles in this modern era.

Again, just an unbiased opinion, right Beantown?

No it isn't because the Yankees have been there so much that any piece of history, positive or negative is most likely to happen to the Yankees since they've been to so many playoff series and win so many titles. Had the Yankees never won before or gone 80 years and not win anything, then that would've been the biggest choke. Yankee fans don't really make a big deal of that choke because of all the winning. It's not that big a deal.

The '78 choke was even bigger because the Sox hadn't won in 60 years and with a 14½ game lead in July had the AL East pennant wrapped up. Then when they came back from a 3-game deficit with three to play to force the playoff, we all know what little SS put an end to that season.
