Hi Everyone, hope you all are doing well.

Wanted to share my new website with everyone if you care to take a look and add it to your stash of resources. You’ll find all of my free videos on there, and I’ll continue to add to the media bin. Also, I’ll be doing a blog on the site which will allow me to share some advice, thoughts and personal takes on subjects — something I don’t provide on the other platforms.

In fact, today I blogged for the first time ever. I hope you’ll check out the website and blog! Please let me know what type of content you’d like to see in the future so I can add it to the stable.

Thanks again for all your support.

I thought one paragraph in the Rudd's blog was so very spot on and might also be another answer to the why HSBBW question:

"...Based on my experience, the way to improve the culture of college baseball recruiting is by educating the masses. We need to listen more. Parents need to recognize their kid might not be the next Babe Ruth. High school coaches need to understand that the landscape has changed immensely over the last decade. Travel guys need to learn that making money is not a crime, but the way in which they do it can be. And college coaches need to realize that their actions dictate how everyone else approaches the process."

Certain parts of this paragraph hit home in a very personal way but it all speaks to how we can improve to process. In the spirit of the oft-repeated HSBBW advice, "control what you can control" and what we can control is our understanding of/education around the process.

Great blog post.

The advice coming from you is excellent, don't worry about being a downer or negative.  The recruiting landscape has changed drastically and people have to learn to adapt.  As well as the need to hear the cold hard facts.

We parents that have been through recruiting, only can give our opinions from a parents perspective.  It's great to have a more knowledgeable person who is more involved in the current scene so keep it coming!

Great line ...

Travel guys need to learn that making money is not a crime, but the way in which they do it can be.

Too many facilities are selling unrealistic dreams starting at an early age. Parents end up too financially and emotionally invested. I’ve talked with plenty of parents who believed just because their kid was on the 14u team they were going to be on the 17u team and headed for D1.
