after hearing about the highly publicized downfall of ny9, what are the best showcasing teams in the New York area?
Replies sorted oldest to newest
where in ny? closer to westchester or nyc or li?
try East Coast Clippers, Taconic Rangers, Bayside Yankees for Westchester area
westchester/ct border
Taconic Rangers and EC Clippers as noted above. Each of the last two years the Rangers had around 10 players with D1 commits and a number that are playing D3. The Clippers had several high profile prospects go D1. Don't follow them as closely so don't have total numbers but several on our HS team play for them and have positive things to say.

so I googled this and didn't find anything on quick search. you have a link of some kind? NY9 has always been a class organization when we have played them.
the Body Armor Titians have also been a quality organization on the island.

the director ian millman got caught having inappropriate relationships with students at his school http://nypost.com/2016/03/20/d...m-rubber-room-probe/
Maybe too far - they're in the city - NY Grays
ive also heard the name citius but not many details..?
Team Citius is down south. There is a team up here with connections to Team Citius - players from the team up here played with Team Citius at the 2015 PG WWBA at Lakepoint. That team/organization is Time to Sign. We know one of the 2016s who was on TTS last summer and played with Team Citius at PG and I spoke to Time to Sign prior to the Fall season last year when we were looking for someplace for him to play.
Time to Sign is very expensive. For the summer they charge a team fee that's similar to what you see from the travel programs in this area and then an "advisory fee" which covers a separate program where they help market the player through all their contacts, create the videos, etc. I don't have the exact costs but you'll need to pay for both and the Advisory service was over $6k (I got the cost from the other family in the spring when we were considering other programs and that number I remember).
The family we know enjoyed the program and is very happy where that 2016 is attending school in the Fall so I wouldn't want to be negative about the team here. They wanted a similar advisory program fee for the Fall last year and we choose not to do it.
My 2016 played for the Rangers for years prior to switching a few years ago and we know several players who stayed with them and played right through last year (as 2016s). PM me if you have questions about that team or other questions on Time to Sign.

They recruit some high end guys, they were based in south philly and then partnered in with the new Maple Zone facility. They are now MSI Bubba, I forget the guys name Kevin something or other. He is with NG coach from the Catholic league in Philly, they among, probably the largest recruiters in the Philly. I have no doubt he is good at it! He has a had a fair amount of guys come and go...IMO opinion kind of a John Calipari type of organization. Loved or Hated.
They are solid but honestly there is no chance they are worth driving from NY to be a part of. There are just to many quality organizations up there. I would rank the Arsenal way higher then Bubba if you want to play national out of Philly. I would say Philly Bandits are the top regional program but there are several others who are very very good.

Interesting, so not a team that has any tryouts?
Call them I would assume tryouts are by request.
