New York Collegiate Baseball League

It looks like my son, a Freshman Pitcher at D3 Ohio Wesleyan, has a chance to play in this league. I want him to go into this with his eyes open. He also has some local options for Wood bat (OICBL) or to play with his 18u Travel team again next summer (Sept birthday).

I have gone out to their site and several team sites trying to find out about cost of living, host families, Cost of playing, if there is one.

Checked out many rosters from last year and looks like a mix of D2, D3, Juco's, with a sprinkling of D1 players.

He is going to be talking to his coach more about it and he knows a player that played for the Nitros last summer.

I know they are adding a team in Olean next year or the year after.

Anybody have any advice or comments on this League. Sending him off to play that far away, I would want to make sure he is well informed and that we can budget it.
