Newburgh, N.Y wins N.Y. legion states!

The "Nukes" are an incredible team from a great program. In five consecutive games between last Wednesday and yesterday, the Nukes averaged over 14 hits per game. The team has been around for over 40 years - one of the best run programs in the country.

My son was fortunate enough to play in this tournament, and he had a blast. The Legion and the city of Utica did such a great job -- everything was terrific, even if the weather didn't cooperate.

I couldn't attend all the games, so I listened to the streaming radio feed over the web. That was so fantastic I almost decided to not drive over to see any games in-person!

It was my son's last year of eligibility, and he had a great ride. We had some real drama getting through districts, so playing in the States was sweet.
