My son pitched two innings last night. No hits, no runs 1 BB and 5 kos. My question is, should we drop out, get a GED, and seek to fast track his ascent to the MLB via early enrollment in JUCO or should we just assume that he will jump straight to the show post graduation in a couple of years? Decisions, decisions.

I think that is a great plan. It's so obvious how far above the talent level he is playing against is so he needs to challenge himself. I do believe the GED route is the best because he can also enroll at University of Phoenix until draft day to get a head start on his future in case he gets attacked by a roaming herd of porcupines.
You're in for a great ride. I hope it passes quickly for you so you can enjoy it faster.
Enjoy it while you can; that's the most important thing. Much like life, it can end at any moment. Just found out that a kid I've known since t-ball was cut as a HS senior. Good kid, good athlete, good, baseball-loving mom and dad. I coached with dad many seasons ago, and I know him well enough to know he's not taking it well. Not the end of the world, I know, but it is the end of baseball for that player. Too bad.
Ah. Hate that for the kid.
Shoot...I was going to stay up, pop some popcorn, and see how this plays out, but I gotta go to bed. First pitch in 14 hours and 45 minutes and we have a 5 hour drive.

Lucky dawg!
For anyone digging this post up from the archive in 2, 5 or 12 years this posting is a joke based on another thread, not a recommendation.
I've got a cool CD to turn you on to. It's stuck in my car's player though. Give me your address and I'll come pick you up. Bring your husband too. (Propriety's sake you know.)
That's a good one... But, also, congrats to your son on a great outing!
Based on the stats, the baseball part is DONE. MLB is only possible outcome ... It's time to leverage up your personal loan portfolio! Get a couple cars. Upgrade the house. Four Season hotels. Stop cooking at home. ... No trouble has ever come from spending early!
Now, this is what I like to hear.
You guys are too funny!
