I read in my local paper that the NFHS has voted to ban two-piece composite bats beginning in 2012. The report was kinda word-of-mouth in an interview with a local HS coach.

Can anyone else confirm this? I know this is an NFHS ruling, but is it a national ruling? (I'm in Tennessee and they often have their own set of rules.)

If this is true, I would think it would have an impact on Easton's Stealth bats, among other brands that make two piece composites.

Also, does this ruling mean all composite might be banned from NFHS play?

I think that once the NCAA comes out with some rulings on composite bats, we're gonna see the whole bat landscape change.

Easton's bats have been at the center of the rolled bat conspiricy being floated by a number of schools. Before the CWS there were a number of bats that were deemed unplayable by the NCAA and some suspected of having been rolled.
