Does every high school in NH have a certin date they can't start baseball by? I Know at Kennett we are not allowed to start until the 21st of March. That's not a lot of time before our first game on April 10th!

I believe the NHIAA has set March 20th as the official date for try-outs to begin.
We don't even have try outs. Everybody makes the team. The varsity only takes about 12-13 guys and then the JV team is stuffed with about 30-40 guys. We have been a pretty competitive school for never cutting kids.
That wouldn't work in Nashua. Last year over 100 guys tried out at North and we heard 175 tried out at South. Both schools have Freshman and JV programs in addition to Varsity, but if you do the math you'd have 16 guys on varsity and 50 to 75 on each of the other teams.
March 20th is the first day of tryouts in NH and im counting the days. I take a trip every year down to ft myers to watch the sox the week before tryouts with my coaching staff. we get back on sunday and tryouts start monday. cant wait!!!!!

The 20th it is. I to am making the trip south, but to watch my son's team againts USC, Wofford, Wake Forest, Duke and Richmond. Can't wait to see him in his first start as a College Pitcher. Will return on the 19th with great expectations for a new and exciting High School season. Good luck to all in NHIAA!!!

Thanks, I will be sure to pass that on to him. We are starting out at Columbia, South Carolina for Three and then off to Spartenburg SC, Winston-Salem NC, Durham NC and Richmond Va for one each. The Q then travels back north for Three with St Johns. I will miss the St John games, need to get home for the start of High School Season. Tell Chris & Matt good luck this year. ahhhh reminds me of when my father, grandfather and brothers took the trip south to watch me play my first D1 college game. memories that we all will cheerish for the rest of our lives. best of luck and enjoy!!!! when at wake forest check out one of my former AAU players matt antonelli. i think he is up for the golden spike award this year. one heck of a player.
