Thanks.  I have to agree with both of those replies.  He says he's ready for the cold.  And the coach is definitely a straight shooter.

My 2014 had interest and some offers from some really good schools around home.  He started expanding his search when he discovered some better options.  We went to Niagara for a camp and he fell in love with everything about the place.  He went back last week for a visit and that sold him.

Can you play baseball in long johns?

Thanks guys for your replies.

It's too late. I would have recommended visiting in February before deciding. My daughter visited a couple of schools in Boston in February and asked me, "What were you thinking when you moved us from southern California? I could have gone to UC Santa Barbara." We had moved to PA which is warmer than Boston. She decided she wasn't going to college north of DC. She decided on Florida.

Yes, and this is a very common practice for northern schools.  Player's oftern play and practice  with cold gear or hunting underwear.  My son's team provides a very long and very warm parka that they wear (in the  dugout) at the beginning of the season.
