I for one am so confused by the self proclaimed "old timers" picking and choosing what they feel is ok to post about.

This camp has been going on forever. It is an awesome event! Its once a year. You really want them to buy an ad?

This site is supposed to be about sharing information. Parents want this information so they can plan their fall.

Should teams searching for kids buy ads? Those coaches make money on those kids.
Should the guys running coaches clinics buy ads? Those guys make money.
Should the guys running tournaments/showcases buy ads? They make money.

I've actually paid for advertising and have absolutely no issue with someone posting their service. Let the public decide if its good information or not.

My 2 cents.

About a dozen HS players, on the north side of James River, do not agree with this. Quality players too. A couple of first rounders, five drafted pro guys, and ten high level D1.

Makes it interesting when the kids tell ya.

What does that even mean?

Absolutely nothing. If those individuals have issue, then they... and only they...should state their case.

Bottom Line... my own beliefs echo what PIS said earlier. This forum is about high school ball players. We give accolades to the players. We promote their accomplishments and we should provide a forum for those Virginia coaches trying to improve their programs with our Virginia talent. Otherwise they will continue to end up in other states like Maryland playing their college baseball.
