NLI question

An NLI means baseball scholarship $$. By definition.

There is another form of LOI called "Institutional Letter of Intent" which some colleges use for their non-baseball scholarship commits who have a guaranteed roster spot. Once the student has been admitted and accepted, this type of LOI can be signed, which gives the school the ability to announce the commitment just like the other NLI.

Rob, does that "LOI" bind the student to the school for one year?

I'm pretty sure that for all practical purposes, it is binding for a year. The player has been accepted to the school at that point, and the financial aid package agreed upon.
