This is a pretty narrowly defined argument about why the NLI is the worst contract in American sports. (I think NFL player contracts are worse.)  Some of the issues with NLI are different for football, but this may add something to the NLI discussion.

We could probably add the standard form MILB player contract into the discussion and comparisons for worst, for the player. Being bound to one team for 6 full championship seasons(7 including short season), unless the team decides otherwise, and having the pay fixed gets into the discussion with the NFL and NLI contracts for "worsts."

I vote for the MiLB based on the length of the contract and the extremely low consideration.  Trying to understand how the NFL contract is in this discussion given the relatively generous minimums (30x MiLB minimums?).  As for the NLI, it sounds like there is an opportunity not to sign such an agreement - assuming you are one of the better players - whereas the lesser players are/should be signing with some focus on educational opportunities that the contract affords.  Assuming D1, football/basketball gets you a full scholarship - and some conferences are starting to guarantee the full 4 years.  I will admit that, while I do not consider the NLI to be the worst contract, the accompanying NCAA rules that governs a player's activities once they get to school certainly exacerbate the situation.  The NLI would be worse if in fact it was required of every athlete to receive athletic scholarship money, however that is apparently not the case.

well lets see, you have a document written from position of power, with legal advice and understanding of all the numbers vs a 17 year old (assuming he isn't going to VA Tech) who may or maynot understand anything, with no legal support, chasing a dream and willing to do damn near anything to continue in the game...it might be toss up between NLI and MIBL - based on the above info you will never have anything close to fair document, plus there are supply and demand laws. Then you add in all the nonrevenue sports, the Title 9 regulations and you will never get a deal that is good for everyone.

Football players are just stupid, IMO

For all practical purposes a player is required to sign, except for perhaps the best handful of players in the country.  The article is pretty clear that schools won't otherwise touch a player that decides not to sign.
