Looks like the player in shallow right just threw the ball. Since there's only one player in shallow right I'm giving the team the benefit of the doubt and assuming he's the right fielder. My guess is he just made a nice catch and was trying to get the runner before he could tag.

Nah, looking closer the centerfielder made the throw and that's the second baseman who was lining up to get the throw from center. Where's the right fielder and why didn't he converge on the ball hit to center?

Any other explanations?

Well, perhaps the catcher did back up and the throw is actually coming from him.

The runner took out the 1B, so he's not ready for the throw.

2B, having no faith in C's accuracy, has backed waaaaay up either for the overthrow, or just in case the runner decides to advance to Center.

You guys aren't buying this explanation at all, are you? Big Grin
I bet the catcher took the picture.

I bet the "second" baseman is waving hi to the catcher.

I bet the "center and right" fielder is shy so that is why one is running away and the other isn't in the pic.

I bet the first baseman likes to imitate monkeys for cameras.

And finally.....

I bet the runner is a person who like to moon cameras when he sees them.
