From a friends experience I can tell you that:
- It is very overpriced
- NO2 products are a borderline scam
- If you are looking for a better pump (like I believe NO 2 advertises), then you should try bodybuilding, pump isn't that important in athletics
- If you are looking for energy, there are much better stimulants that can be found (I personally have used Biotest's Spike with results, Patrick Arnold's company ErgoPharm has a few good stimulants that my friend uses, but these are expensive as well) or just take a multivitamin, I found that these give me extra energy.
- If your nutrition includes consistent candy and other junk food, no supplement will work for you, don't bother wasting your money.

I'd say if I had to tell you yes or no as to whether or not it is worth it then I would say no because of price and relevance to athletics.
Here is an example of a NO-Xplode like homemade pre workout mix that is even better IMO.

1g Diarginine Malate
200mg caffeine
2g Beta Alanine
2.5g Creatine Monohydrate
5g BCAA
25g Dextrose (or if you are concerned, palatinose)
500mg Phenibut

I know some people will disagree with the ingredients, but for me this has been the best in the past.

1-gram 3 times a day of glutamine (3 grams a day). It makes sure the guts mucosa is healthy and insures that you will absorb your food and those supplements that you do take.

I would advise taking this for for 2-4 weeks before you start taking a supplement. It should have your gut working "top notch" by then and you wont be wasting money on supplements that you are not fully absorbing.

Agreed, niacin won't do much except give you a "niacin flush" which is basically red face.

BCAA's are great if in a very hard training phase.

Niacin will does more then just give a niacin flush. If you have enough in your diet you are correct but if deficeint in B3 it helps control blood glucose levels and raises the HDL (good) while lowering your LDL (bad) cholesterols.

I agree that it will not help in baseball unless you have a deficeincy though. It is needed for proper nerve function also.

I HIGHLY doubt he has a niacin deficiency. Again, just taking niacin won't do much for performance.

I agree with you. Just wanted to post that there are benefits.

O.K., then what are good supplements for flushing out lactic acid? Or some sort of NSAID other than the basics?

Are you looking for pain relief? Something for inflammation?

Bromelain 3 grams a day between meals.

Omega 3 and 6 are good also for pain releif and general good health.

As far a "lactate" good old H20 with light exercise.

I say lactate because lactic acid is not present in the human body.
