nokona catching mitts

How old is your son? Wilson A2000 series and Rawlings Pro Preferred are the two mitts that every catcher I have coached has liked the most and used. I have found the Nokona to be soft and easy to break in. Wears out quickly and is no where near as good as the Wilson or Rawlings.

There are several threads in the catching discussions on various gloves. AllStar is another brand often mentioned. Of the gloves you can buy in a store my son has used the Wilson A2403/2000 and Allstar (the smaller one).

My son has used the All-Star glove for a number of years. In the past, I bought him a Rawlings and Wilson and he still goes back to the All-Star. He says they are just better.

Im a big fan of Nokona....all american made gloves from Texas.........I still have my Nokona catchers mitt that ny father bought me.......they are a fine company...thier professional line of catcher mitts (bloodline) competes as well as any other high line mitt....

Did I mention they are AMERICAN made?........not that that is important to me or anything......

I have a company that manufactures gloves right here in the USA. We think they are as good and better than anything currently available and are very similar to the afoementioned Nakona bloodline.Pm me for further info if interested. Thanks

My son had two Nokona mitts back in his catching days...he loved the Kangaroo model...not so much on the other - I'm guessing mostly on the latter because it was harder to get broken in and he wasn't catching as much...nothing but good things to say about the Kangaroo though...

I bought my son a great Nokona mitt, but I made the mistake of not asking him. As a result he failed to use it, borrowing a friend's glove instead. It took me until he was 12 to realize trhat unless he picks out the equipment himself--no matter how top of the line--it is a waste of money. He currently has an All Star CM300 BT and loves it.
