Hey everyone, I'm a senior and I was wondering what people knew about the baseball programs at teh following schools. Wesleyan (CT), Trinity, Clark, Colby, Western CT, Southern CT. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks
With all due respect to any college, some of these schools don't fit in the same academic category. If you're looking for top academic D3's research the NESCAC conference. Williams and Tufts are usually quality baseball programs in the conference from year to year.
Take Southern CT State out of the mix as they are a very strong Division II porgram in this region
Now for the Division III programs:
Trinity-- great academics and a very strong program---regionals on an annual basis--great aggressive coach
Wesleyan---great academics and is getting there baseball wise
Colby-- another great academic school adn it is baseball in Maine in the spring---Coach Plummer has taken over the reins as of this Fall from long time head coach, Caoch Dexter---Coach Dexter is remianing as an assistant thus there will be continutity
Clark---Coach Falcon is young and aggressive--he was in attendacne at Jupiter this year--- in a great college city< worcester, MA--- keep an eye on them---excellent academic school
Western Connecticut State--- academically not on the same page with the others noted but they are still very solid-- Coach Susi has the baseball program on the rebound---they went to the palyoff tournament last year
We have had or currently have players at all schools if that helps you in your thinking
Aren't Williams and Tufts usually at the top of the NESCAC standings? Southern Maine is a very good program with a coach in the college baseball hall of fame.
