Tri-State Arsenal down in Southern Jersey
Along with Arsenal there's a group of facilities around NJ called the Super 17s. Along with Arsenal it includes All American, Teel's and Diamond Nation. Some of these may be closer than Arsenal (near Philadelphia).
Syracuse Sports Zone
I forgot about the teams out of Diamond Nation - Diamond Jacks I believe. That is probably about an hour closer to the original poster than the Arsenal's main location.

What year will he graduate high school, and what position does he play?

2018 Shortstop
Are the Bayside Yankees considered one of the top teams?
Are you familiar with the Bronx Bombers? I think they have a pretty high level 2018 team.
I wouldn't consider myself the foremost expert but I've followed the teams pretty closely from afar as my 2016 has friends who played on Arsenal, Bay Side Yankees, Taconic Rangers, East Coast Clippers and he played against the Diamond Jacks and another really good program from NJ that name escapes me at the moment. I would put teams like the Rangers, EC Clippers and Bay Side Yankees kind of at the same level - with one being a little higher year to year depending on the current talent (sometimes one of them has 1-2 real aces) and then I'd put the Arsenal at the top since they are year after year one of the best programs in the country. We have two players from our HS who played for Arsenal last season (one 2016 and one 2018) and both are D1 commits (the 2018) too a top school. It seems like they are far away but it's really once a week during the off season and then you're traveling to tournaments over the summer - not going to South Jersey. I feel like if you make one of those teams you are a notch above the local teams I listed but it's just my opinion. One of those teams - or the Bombers - might be a much better fit.
I was trying to find the other name of the NJ team we played last summer and looked at the PG tournament portal for the 17u championship at lakepoint in July. I forgot about these teams as well:
Long Island - Titans. They have several teams, travel to all the major tournaments and typically do well
Wladyka Baseball - NJ
NJ Marlins - NJ
Gallagher Team Mizuno - NJ
I know little about those other than they appeared to be good teams when 2016 played against them and they attend the major tournaments (the NE ones and PG)
If it seems like I have no life - it's only partly correct. I'm just killing time today before we go to 2016's HS graduation.
How do you get to the PG tournament portal? We are going in July 8th - 15th...and I have been on that site and cannot find any info about teams registered.
Thanks!!!
All above suggestions are reputable organizations. Some have better or different college contacts than others. My son played for the DN team, and the one thing I believe, IMO, is playing every almost week at DN gets more exposure than playing there 1 or 2x in a season like most of the other teams mentioned. DN would be about hour and half from the Bronx (with no traffic)

Congrats on your son's graduation!!!
Unless you are a local, I would stay away from NJ Marlins.
I'd look at NY Grays too. Maybe Youth Service League and Bonnie's in Brooklyn as well.

Thanks. Time goes by quickly - except for at graduation! 3 hours of fun.
