I know the coach has a winning record since he has been there and had a winning record at the college before that.
Does anyone know anything about the facilities? What his coaching style is? Does he run a "tight ship" or a "go with the flow" ship? Does he stress fundementals and have a structured program or leave players to "figure it out for themselves"?
Any information would be helpful, Thanks

Mde5 - Coach Asalon (My son and I have only met him once, but know some kids that play for him) is a laid back guy. I know he expects certain things out of his players, but is not known as an intense disciplanarian. I would not say he leaves things for the players to figure out for themselves or he wouldn't have had the success he has had. He has done well at NKU as well as the DIII he was at before that. Facilities are average - on campus. School is near the OH/KY line. Not very much scholly money for the younger kids. Wooden bat, he likes speed. Weather isn't the best in late winter - early spring. I've said on here before - I think if they're recruiting you, it's worth your time to check out.
Thanks lafmom,
We are mutually recruiting each other. My son is a acedemic sophmore at a junior college, that plays wood bat, where he red-shirted his first year. Coach Asalon seems like a great guy based on conversation we have hed. My son is planning a visit/workout in May. Since my son grew up in the Chicago area, Northern Kentucky weather can't be as bad as that.
