I was having a discussion with another parent recently about who the top shorstops are in the Northern region. I'd like to hear the opinions of others. Chime away!

Keep hearing/reading that he's a projected first rounder. Looking forward to seeing him on the field this Spring.
Can't speak for many shortstops in the Northern Region, but talk of McGuire going early in the draft is there for a reason. He can play. Here's hoping he has a great spring and gets some more MLB looks.
Best in the region, in MHO, is Jack Owens (Lake Braddock/CANES, 2014). His bat is extraordinary with gap power and great bat control. Jack's defense is more than solid, great hands and good range/+arm. He is the one the will keep LB rolling this year, especially until they get more healthy as year goes on.
I am also impressed by Joey Sullivan (McLean HS/CANES, 2014). He is big, strong arm, smooth in the field and can really stick it.
