The problem with the easy way is your build a false sense of security.  You do not put your players in a position of success or failure.  They are untested and when it comes to having to hit the cutoff, a double cut, fielding a bunt, getting back to the bag, running a first and third, making a play too often they fail.  I would rather fail and correct the problems in early March then learn nothing from my games.
