Best academic school of big 10. Baseball players I believe room with other players/athletes. Good pitching coach. Has a strong Southern California pipeline - especially for pitchers. Several off their pitchers will be playing for the NWL champion Battlecreek team next summer. I don't know if they are fully funded. I heard they take baseball seriously - but they are in a cold climate.
They recruit players that are smart and have good grades! Coaches have been there a number of years, so there has been stability. A little tough for them to recruit due to academic standards and cost of Northwestern, which is private, versus other public institutions in the Big Ten and elsewhere. Roster size is limited to 27 or so, so if you are there you will have the opportunity to play certainly, which can be a plus.

Campus is very nice with a great location just north of Chicago. They have had players drafted each of the last few years, and for life after baseball the education is among the best in the country. The alumni network is exceptional and the opportunities for graduates of Northwestern are among the best there are anywhere.
