Northwood University - Dallas

first of all its a beautiful campus. good coaches from my meetings with them. good baseball program, cant remember last years record, but i remember the pitching coach telling me they would be better in the next couple of years. i know its strickly a business school so i imagine that program is pretty good.

the feild is great its in a valley with a cliff beyond the center field wall.

One of my sons played there last year. Had a solid season. Nice campus. The RRAC is one of the better NAIA conferences in the nation. No regrets but he elected not to return (playing elsewhere this season). College has strong ties to the Automotive industry. It will be interesting to see what they can do this year (fairly young team) compared to last season.

Thanks for the input. berknerdad, your comments about it being a young team made me wonder and I checked out Northwood's roster. Any idea why there are virtually no seniors on the team? PM me if you'd like. Also, do the business courses emphasize the automotive industry more than other industries?

is this school in florida? there is a northwood in florida that is naia,and a local car dealer sent his kids there. just curious.

There are 3 Northwood Universities -- one in Texas, one in Florida, and the original one in Michigan. All part of the same educational system.

Son was offered a spot at Northwood but due to injury would have been redshirted so he elected not to pursue it. He liked the coach and the facilities.

Northwood University which is south of Dallas is a super neat campus. My son had the opportunity to play there this past summer. It sits back off the highway in a state park. You would feel like you are going to college and playing baseball at a summer camp. The fishing is awesome. My little guy fished in the stream by the baseball field and caught one after another. I believe Coach Childress from A&M graduated from there. Correct me if I am wrong on that one.
